What’s Up, Hungry People
If you are a Big Brother fan, then you know that summer hasn’t officially started until sixteen strangers are locked into the Big Brother House to play for $750,000. I’ve been watching Big Brother since the very first season – though I’ll admit that I missed a handful of seasons between the end of high school and the beginning of college (that I’ve since gone back and rewatched) – but starting around BB14/15, I started watching the LIVE FEEDS and I’ve been insatiably hooked on Big Brother ever since.
Casual watchers may tune in to the Big Brother show a handful of times a week, but Live Feeders, such as myself, know the excitement that comes with watching – however obsessively – as these sixteen strangers get to know each other, fall in love, fight, eat, sleep, and… well, pretty much just live their lives in a windowless studio lot with a pool in the middle. The houseguests every move are watched by hundreds of cameras that are constantly being streamed to a live audience.

Whether you only watch the show or have the feeds on in the background 24/7 (**not me patiently waiting for the BB feeds starting on Sunday…**), at some point in your show-watching experience, FOOD will play a pivotal role in the overall gameplay. Inevitably, a meal will be ruined by a fight, which will make that innocuous meal into legendary BB lore.
So, floaters, grab a life vest and join me as I recreate some of my favorite meals – as seen on TV and on the live feeds – and build a Big Brother snack board perfect for your next BB Watch Party!
Let’s Make a BB Watch Party Board!
I tried to make this board with minimal actual cooking involved. Most everything can be found in your grocery premade or frozen. Only a few items will require a tiny bit of prep.
Bonus points if you shop at Kroger for your supplies.

Pool Float Jell-O Cocktail
Start off the summer with a Big Brother pool full of Jell-O shots. Complete with the iconic rubber duck and pool floaties, BB live feeders will cringe at the name of this drink, but filthy casuals won’t.

Josh’s Meatballs
These meatballs are a nod to Josh from BB19, who famously called his rivals “meatballs” during countless blow-ups in the house. It’s the perfect way to serve a little playful chaos – minus the banging pots and pans.

Keesha’s Birthday Cake
This mini birthday cake is a wink to Keesha’s unforgettable BB10 party, where the celebration spiraled into chaos and gave us the legendary line, “Anybody want cake?” that I shamelessly quote every birthday I attend – and sadly no one in my real life ever gets the reference.

Slop Shooters
These are basically little shots of cream of wheat, dressed up in shooter glasses (actually yogurt jars, because houseguests use anything but cups) to look like the infamous slop the Have-Nots have to choke down. CBS did put out an official slop recipe, but this seemed a tad more palatable. It’s also a fun way to pay tribute to all the whining, gagging, and dramatic diary room confessions that come with every BB season. Could’ve gone with slop cookies, but this felt way more on brand for authentic BB food – you can’t enjoy everything.

Jankie’s Pizza
“J-A-N-K-I-E, jankie, jankie, LET’S PAR-TY!” If that song isn’t stuck in your head now, are you even a true BB fan? Inspired by the nightmare carnival in BB26 where houseguests only could eat pizza and ice cream while living in the backyard, I also added pizza bagel bites to my board – mediocre pizza for a mediocre meme.

Michie’s Watermelon
In BB21, Michie infamously ate a TON of watermelons that summer. So much so that BB even made a whole segment about it. Naturally, I had to add a few slices to my board.

Dan’s Funeral Dip
A salty little tribute to BB14’s “Dan’s Funeral,” where Dan pulled off the biggest move in Big Brother history by staging his own funeral and tearing the house apart. Just Ruffles and french onion dip — simple, unassuming, and sneaky, kinda like Dan.

Alex’s Cucumber & Soy Dip
Probably the deepest cut on this list, but Alex Ow on BB19 was always snacking on veggies dipped in a soy sauce mix. Usually it was soy and lime (or maybe even garlic at one point too). Somehow this simple snack snuck its way into my own snack repertoire, and now I catch myself munching on cucumbers dipped in sweet soy and garlic chile oil on a weekly basis. This is a personal live feed obsession of mine – I don’t think it ever even made it onto the weekday show!

Zach’s Fruit Loops
Of course, we can’t have a Big Brother themed snack board without some fruit loops, ya dingus!

Other Big Brother Foods
My board had so many superfan snacks that I figured only a few people would recognize the references (am I exposing my superfan status here?).
I also had on my BB board:
- Mini Taco Bites for Taco Night
- Angela’s Charcuterie
- OTEV’s Butt-AH Popcorn
- Jasmine’s Missing Muffin
- Mini Bottles of Wine (enough for the whole house!)
- Edible Glitter!!! ON EVERYTHING!!!
Honorable Mentions (that didn’t make it on my board) include:
- Paulie’s pies (ya’ll ever cried over a butterfly??)
- Gina Marie’s ice cream
- Raven’s chicken
What other snacks are on your board for BB premiere night? If it’s the finale, what foods stuck on your radar this summer or made it into your real life diet (*ahem cucumbers*)? Let me know in the comments!
Watch It on IG!
Whether you’re a casual viewer or have the feeds running 24/7, food is such a weirdly important part of Big Brother – from epic fights breaking out over cake to entire segments dedicated to watermelons. So if you’re throwing a watch party (or just watching alone on your couch with your own personal snack board), I hope this gives you some fun ideas to bring a little BB chaos to your table.
Drop your favorite Big Brother snack moments in the comments, or tell me what must-haves are on your BB board. Now excuse me while I go binge the feeds and eat way too many meatballs!

Instructions
Make the Jell-O Cocktails
- Premix the Jell-o cocktail ahead of time. Follow the instructions on the Jell-O box to prepare the Jell-O mixture, then stir in the remaining ingredients. If pouring into a large container (as seen in the images), be sure to prepare up to 48 hours ahead of time so that the gelatin has time to fully set.
Assemble Board
- Prepare the frozen items by cooking according to the instructions on the packaging.
- Slice the cucumbers, stir the soy and chile oil.
- Make the cream of wheat according to the instructions on the packaging. This will thicken as it sets, so make it last.
- Assemble the board as desired with suggested items. Enjoy while watching Big Brother live feeds!
