Is it pizza or is it poutine?
Technically, it’s the best of both worlds!
Frozen French fries are pan fried to golden perfection in a fragrant mix of rosemary and olive oil.
I then topped my fries with my favorite pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, shredded pepperoni and a tangy garlic vinaigrette (LOVE Garlic Expressions for this – not a sponsor!) and baked it up until the cheese was nice and melty.
Easy Pizza Fries
Is it pizza or poutine? Here's how to dress up frozen French fries!
Ingredients
- ½ bag frozen shoestring French fries
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- ¼ cup shredded pepperoni
- ½ cup mozzarella shredded
- 1 tablespoon garlic vinaigrette optional
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley for topping
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet until shimmery then pan fry the frozen French fries in small batches until golden brown. Place cooked fries on a plate lined with paper towels. Season the cooked fries with rosemary, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Separate the cooked fries into small crocks or ramekins loosely. Drizzle the garlic vinaigrette over the fries. Add pizza sauce, shredded pepperonis and shredded mozzarella on top.
- Bake the ramekins at 375 F for 5-10 minutes, until the sauce is heated though and the cheese is melted on top. Add parsley on top for a pop of color, as desired. Enjoy!
