What’s Up, Hungry People
S’mores are synonymous with summertime. But if you don’t have a campfire to toast your marshmallows, this insanely easy four-ingredient s’mores dip will certainly satiate your appetite for the ooey gooey summer classic.
Serve up your s’mores dip with graham crackers and whatever else you can think of to dip in melted marshmallows and chocolate. This delicious dip is the ultimate indoor alternative to a time-honored summer tradition.

Here’s What You Need
- Sweetened condensed milk: Adds creamy sweetness and texture to the dip.
- Hershey chocolate bars: Provide the rich chocolatey flavor essential to any s’mores creation.
- Marshmallows: Melt into a fluffy, gooey topping that browns under the broiler.
- Graham crackers: Offer a crunchy texture contrast and a means for scooping the dip.
- Strawberries (optional): Bring a fresh, slightly tart flavor to balance the sweetness.
- Pretzels (optional): Add a salty crunch, complementing the sweet dip.

Let’s Cook
Start by creating a double boiler to melt your chocolate and sweetened condensed milk together. Simply fill a pot halfway with water and bring it to a simmer. Then, place a larger heat-proof bowl on top of the pot, ensuring the bottom doesn’t touch the water. This setup helps melt the chocolate smoothly without burning it.
Melting the Ingredients
Add the sweetened condensed milk and Hershey bars to the bowl on your double boiler. Let the chocolate bars melt completely, stirring occasionally, until you can seamlessly blend them into the milk to form a smooth, glossy chocolate mixture. Take your time stirring to prevent any lumps.
Preparing the Dip
Once your chocolate mixture is silky and fully combined, pour it into your chosen dish or split it between several smaller ramekins. This is your base for the s’mores dip.
Broiling the Marshmallows
Press the marshmallows into the chocolate mixture, setting them up for the perfect toast. Place the dish under the broiler, previously heated, and watch closely as the marshmallows puff up and turn golden brown. This should take about 5-8 minutes, but keep a vigilant eye to avoid scorching them.
Serving ’em Up
Allow the dip to cool slightly—about 5-10 minutes—before serving. This brief waiting period helps the chocolate set slightly, making it easier to scoop without being too runny. Grab your graham crackers, strawberries, or pretzels and dig in!

S’mores Dip Tips
- Choosing the Right Dish: Opt for a shallow baking dish or ramekins for serving. This allows for even distribution of heat and ensures every scoop gets plenty of chocolate and marshmallow. A shallow dish also makes it easier to monitor the marshmallows as they broil, reducing the risk of burning them.
- Broiling Marshmallows: Keep your eye on the marshmallows as they broil. They can go from perfectly golden to burnt in a matter of seconds. If your oven has a window, use it to watch the marshmallows closely. Adjusting the rack position closer or further from the broiler can help control how quickly they toast.
- Creative Dipping: While graham crackers are the traditional choice, don’t hesitate to explore with other dippers. Fresh fruit like strawberries not only adds a refreshing twist but also cuts through the sweetness. Pretzels are another great option, providing a delightful salty-sweet experience.

This four-ingredient s’mores dip recipe is the perfect solution for those indoor days when you crave a taste of summer but the great outdoors is out of reach. It’s quick to prepare and even quicker to disappear at any gathering. Whether you’re hosting a movie night, need a comfort snack, or just want to treat the family to something special, this dip fits the bill. You can serve it with traditional graham crackers or mix things up with pretzels and fresh fruit. Each bite is a reminder of why summer flavors are so beloved, bringing chocolatey, marshmallow goodness right to your table.

Four Ingredient S’mores Dip
Ingredients
- 14.5 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk
- 3 Hershey chocolate bars
- 20 marshmallows
- graham crackers for dipping
Instructions
- Make a double boiler by heating half a pot of water to a simmer. Then place a heat-proof bowl that is larger than the pot on top. The bottom of the bowl should not touch the water.
- Preheat the broiler—use the low setting if available. Use the double boiler to melt the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate bars together. Allow the chocolate bars to melt until they can easily be stirred into the sweetened condensed milk. Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Remove from heat.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture into a serving dish—I split four servings between two ramekins. You can also use a large shallow baking dish.
- Press regular-sized marshmallows halfway down into the chocolate. Place the dish 4-5 inches below the broiler. Cook for 5-8 minutes, keeping a careful eye not to burn the marshmallows, until the marshmallows are golden brown and puffed up.
- Let the serving dish cool for 5-10 minutes prior to serving. Enjoy with fresh strawberries, pretzels or, of course, graham crackers.
