Let’s Cook

Alright, Hungry People, grab your largest mixing bowl because this salsa is about to bring some serious flavor. Start by combining all your ingredients in the bowl. Make sure you stir everything together really well so each bite is packed with a mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy goodness.

Chill Out

Once everything is mixed, transfer your salsa to an airtight container. Pop it in the fridge and let it chill for at least 1-2 hours. Trust me, the wait is worth it. This time allows all the flavors to meld together, making the salsa even more delicious.

Serve It Up

After your salsa has had some time to chill, it’s ready to serve. This tangy salsa is perfect with tortilla chips or as a topping on grilled salmon, chicken, or pork.

Tips for the Perfect Salsa

  • Adjust the Heat: If you want to tone down the spiciness, use fewer habanero peppers or remove more of the seeds. Conversely, if you love the heat, leave some seeds in.
  • Freshness Matters: Fresh ingredients will give you the best flavor. Try to use ripe mangos and strawberries for maximum sweetness.
  • Storage: This salsa can be stored in the fridge for up to a week. Just make sure it’s in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
  • Flavor Development: Letting the salsa sit overnight can deepen the flavors even more, making it taste better the next day.
  • Serving Suggestions: Besides chips and grilled meats, try this salsa on tacos, burgers, or even as a unique topping for a salad.

Notes

PRO TIP: Use canned mangoes for the ultimate mango salsa. Drain canned mango before adding to salsa.
PRO TIP: Only use as many habaneros as your taste buds can handle! For a more mild salsa, use jalapenos instead.
