What’s Up, Hungry People

All aboard the “New Year, New Me” train! This decade my goal is to lead a healthier lifestyle – which means I need to start at the most obvious place: my diet.

Swapping out fast food breakfasts for high-protein, low-calorie overnight oats is step one! This week I teamed up with AmBari Nutrition to jumpstart 2020 in the best way possible.

I used four of AmBari’s delicious protein flavors to create these simple overnight oats. You can even premix the dry ingredients ahead of time and just add milk and fresh toppings whenever you’re ready to consume them.

In fact, after my initial test run of this recipe, which was taste-tested by friends and family, my dad straight up requested these overnight oats as a Christmas present because they were so delicious. Grab-and-go breakfasts are a thing of the past now that I have the power of these overnight oats in my refrigerator. Thanks to AmBari, I’m definitely starting out 2020 on a healthy (and delicious) note!

Here’s What You Need

  • Old-fashioned oats: The base of the recipe, providing fiber and a hearty texture.
  • AmBari Nutrition protein powder: Adds a protein boost to keep you full longer.
  • Milk of choice: Creates a creamy texture and soaks into the oats overnight.
  • Hemp seeds: Adds a nutty flavor and extra protein and healthy fats.
  • Graham cracker crumbs: Adds a cheesecake crust flavor to the oats.
  • Strawberry jelly: Sweetens the oats and adds a classic PB&J taste.
  • Peanut butter: Adds richness and a savory balance to the jelly.
  • Chia seeds: Adds fiber and helps thicken the oats.
  • Chocolate sauce: Adds a decadent chocolate flavor.

Let’s Cook

First things first, grab your mason jars. Add the protein powder, dry oats, and dry ingredients like chia seeds or hemp seeds to each jar. Give them a good shake to mix everything evenly.

You can store these premixed jars in their dry state for up to three months, so feel free to prep ahead!

Time to Soak

About 10-12 hours before you plan to eat your oats, add your milk of choice to the jar. Shake well to ensure everything is mixed thoroughly. The oats will soak up the milk overnight, creating a creamy, delicious breakfast by morning.

Top It Off

Just before you dig in, add your favorite fresh toppings. Whether it’s fruit, chocolate minis, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce, these toppings take your oats to the next level. Now, all that’s left to do is enjoy!

Tips and Tricks for Perfect Overnight Oats

  • Consistency Matters: If you prefer thicker oats, reduce the milk slightly or add more chia seeds. For a creamier texture, increase the milk.
  • Prep Ahead: Premix your dry ingredients in bulk and store them in airtight containers. This way, you can just scoop, add milk, and go!
  • Fruit Freshness: Always add fresh fruit just before eating to keep it from getting mushy. Frozen fruit can also be added the night before and will thaw by morning.
  • Protein Boost: If you need more protein, feel free to add an extra half serving of protein powder or mix in some Greek yogurt with the milk.
  • Flavor Variations: Experiment with different toppings and mix-ins like nuts, seeds, or spices to keep things interesting.

I’m thrilled with how these overnight oats turned out. They make breakfast both nutritious and convenient. Each jar is packed with flavor and protein, making my mornings so much easier and healthier.   • 2 tablespoons AmBari Nutrition Strawberry Banana protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seed
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • ¼ cup strawberries sliced for topping
  • 1 banana sliced for topping
  • ½ tablespoon hemp seed for topping

FOR NEW YORK CHEESECAKE OVERNIGHT OATS:
