What’s Up, Hungry People
Welcome back, Hungry Muggles. Harry Potter week isn’t over yet! Today, we find ourselves in the Great Hall just moments after the Goblet of Fire revealed its FOURTH Triwizard Cup pick… Harry Potter.
If there’s one thing that the fourth Harry Potter movie gave us, it was the most un-Dumbledore of Dumbledore moments.

The Goblet of Fire – also known as the Triwizard Cup – is the magical object that chooses witches and wizards who are brave enough to compete in the Triwizard Tasks. It’s supposed to only choose one student from each of the three major European schools: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang.
However, this year, something different happens. It appears the Goblet was hoodwinked – spewing out a fourth name for the first time ever.
Of course, we readers know that Harry didn’t put his name in himself, but we have to wait until the end of the book to find out that it was Mad Eye Moody – er… Barty Crouch Jr. I mean – that tricked the Goblet into accepting Harry’s name and magically binding him to complete the tasks and grab the final Portkey – the cup itself – that transported him to Tom Riddle Sr.’s grave.
After the Triwizard Cup was over – and whenever the actual cup was retrieved and reverted back from its Portkey status – I’d like to think that Dumbledore used it to brew up his own cocktail of potions. Because why not, he is the most powerful wizard in the world after all. He should treat himself from time to time.

The Muggle version of this cocktail potion is sweet and tangy – and contains its own version of magic in the form of alcohol. After consuming this drink, you might think that you’re fighting off dragons in the Quidditch pitch.
Dry ice is essential for the smoky effects of this drink. If you really want to pretend you are submitting your name for the Triwizard tasks – drop in a bit of dry ice instead for bubbling and smoking effects. If you’re lucky (or perhaps, unlucky), your name just might pop out.

Here’s What You Need
- Vodka: Adds a strong base to the cocktail.
- Lime juice: Provides a tangy citrus flavor.
- Hpnotiq blue liqueur: Contributes a fruity and colorful element.
- Lemon-lime soda: Adds sweetness and fizziness.
- Blue curaçao: Enhances the color and adds a sweet citrus flavor.
- Dry ice (optional): Creates a smoky, magical effect.

Let’s Make Some Magic
First things first, grab your trusty cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Now, pour in the vodka, lime juice, and Hpnotiq blue liqueur. Give it a good shake.
Pouring the Potion
Once you’ve got everything nicely mixed, divide the contents of your shaker between two glasses. Here comes the fun part – topping it off!
Add lemon-lime soda and blue curaçao to each glass. Keep an eye on the color; you want it to look as enchanting as the magical flames of the Goblet of Fire.

Adding the Smoky Effect
If you’re feeling extra adventurous, it’s time to bring out the dry ice. Carefully drop a small piece into each glass. Watch as your cocktail begins to bubble and smoke, just like a real potion.
Finishing Touches
And there you have it! Your very own Triwizard Cup Cocktail. Perfect for impressing your fellow witches and wizards at your next Harry Potter-themed gathering. Just remember, with great power (and magical cocktails) comes great responsibility.

Additional Tips and Troubleshooting
- Handling Dry Ice: Always use gloves or tongs to handle dry ice. It’s extremely cold and can cause burns if touched directly.
- Adjusting Sweetness: If the cocktail is too sweet for your taste, add a bit more lime juice to balance it out.
- Creating Layers: For a more visually striking drink, pour the blue curaçao slowly over the back of a spoon to create layers.
- Alcohol-Free Version: For a non-alcoholic version, replace the vodka and liqueurs with blue raspberry lemonade and a splash of lime soda.
- Safety First: Never ingest dry ice. Wait until the dry ice has fully dissipated before drinking your cocktail.

So there you have it, Hungry People! A drink that’s as enchanting as the Triwizard Cup itself. Perfect for any Harry Potter-themed gathering, this cocktail brings a touch of magic to your evening. Whether you’re a student at Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, or Durmstrang you’ll find this concoction both fun to make and delicious to drink. Don’t forget to add the dry ice for that extra magical effect – just like Dumbledore would. Raise your glass and toast to a night of wizarding fun!
