Equipment

  • tea kettle for boiling water
  • ramen bowls
  • cutting boards

Ingredients

  • 2 packets pork flavored ramen noodles + flavor packet inside
  • 3 cups water boiling
  • 4 slices thick cut ham
  • 1 soft boiled egg sliced in half
  • 2 green onions chopped to whites

Instructions

  • To soft-boil eggs for ramen, bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Add the eggs and cook for 6 minutes and 30 seconds. As the eggs cook, prepare a bowl of cold water with ice cubes. Transfer the cooked eggs to the ice bath to stop the cooking process and cool. Peel as many eggs as you intend to serve (this recipe calls for one egg cut in half).
  • Bring a kettle of water to a rolling boil. Place the ramen noodles into the bowls and sprinkle the seasoning packet on top. Pour the boiling water over the noodles and place the lid on the bowls.
  • Let the noodles sit for 2 minutes, then quickly open the lid and add the ham slices, half an egg, and chopped green onions. Place the lid back on and let the noodles finish cooking and the toppings warm through for another minute.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with a side of milk and honey tea. Enjoy!
