Ingredients

  • 16 oz asparagus
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 10 slice prosciutto cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • salt to taste
  • marinara for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Cut the puff pastry and prosciutto into strips about 1/2 inch thick. Wash and trim the asparagus, removing any woody stems (about the bottom inch or so).
  • Wrap the individual stalks of asparagus with a strip of prosciutto, then twist a puff pastry strip around both. Arrange the wrapped asparagus on a greased baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, melt the butter. Whisk in the garlic powder, parsley, and salt to taste. Brush each asparagus stalk with the butter mixture.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  • Serve warm or chilled with marinara sauce or ranch for dipping. Enjoy!
