Mango Habanero Salsa

This fruit salsa is made from mangos, strawberries and English cucumber - with some zing included from red onion, shallot and apple cider vinegar.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups mango chopped, can sub canned diced mango
  • 5 habanero peppers seeds removed & chopped
  • 8 strawberries chopped
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 1 red onion chopped
  • 1 sweet onion chopped
  • 1 shallot chopped
  • 2 tablespoons garlic minced
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 lime juiced
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vingar
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir together until completely combined. Store in an air tight container and chill for at least 1-2 hours prior to serving to fully develop the flavor. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping on grilled salmon, chicken or pork.

Notes

PRO TIP: Use canned mangoes for the ultimate mango salsa. Drain canned mango before adding to salsa.
PRO TIP: Only use as many habaneros as your taste buds can handle! For a more mild salsa, use jalapenos instead.
