  • Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a wok over high heat. Add the steak to the wok, season with salt and pepper, and stir until it is just under medium rare. Remove the steak from the wok and set it aside.
  • In a bowl, combine the water, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, hoisin sauce, red pepper flakes, minced ginger, and 1 tablespoon of chopped green onions. Stir well to form the stir fry sauce. Let the flavors incorporate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Wipe the wok clean, then add another tablespoon of sesame oil over high heat. Add the onion and mushrooms to the wok, stirring occasionally. Add the whole baby corn and continue stirring until the ingredients have softened.
  • Return the steak to the wok with the vegetables and pour the prepared stir fry sauce into the wok. Bring it to a bubbling simmer while stirring. Then, reduce the heat to medium and let the sauce reduce until it reaches the desired thickness.
  • Cook the rice noodles according to the instructions on the package. Drain the noodles and add them to the wok with the steak and vegetables. Gently fold the noodles into the sauce until they are completely covered. Serve the steak stir fry immediately and enjoy!
